For The Love of Fitness
To our LVFT community,
For the past twelve years, Nick and I have devoted ourselves to creating change in the lives of our members – the way they move, the way they eat, the way they view themselves. Working with the hundreds of people who have stepped through our doors has been an incredibly rewarding experience, because we know how scary change can be. And that’s why this is so difficult to write.
As some of you may have already heard, Nick and I have decided to move on from the gym. We did not come to this decision easily, but we believe it is for the best. The last thing we want is to abandon the strong community we’ve built, so we’d like to provide a little context into what went in to the decision as well as how things will look going forward.
While Nick and I remain passionate about the gym and its members, we are both being pulled in new, exciting directions outside of Miles City. So rather than close our doors and leave the community we love without a place to train, we have decided to sell our business to an ownership group that can continue what we’ve started. And we have the utmost confidence that they are up to the task.
Beginning on August 1st, we will be transferring ownership of the gym to Wacy Arndt, Tyler Chapmon, Austin Stradley, and Shawn Quinlan. They will take over the day-to-day operations, but in an effort to make the transition as smooth as possible, Nick and I will be staying on as coaches for the next 6-12 months. During that time, new coaches will be introduced and we will eventually be phased out.
We understand that this news may be difficult to hear but hope that you will keep an open mind and continue to support the gym going forward. Nick and I will be working closely with the new ownership to ensure we keep providing the same great experience you’ve grown accustomed to. With that in mind, Nick will continue to program the workouts, and the daily group class structure and schedule will remain the same. If you have any further questions, we’d be happy to talk about it before or after class.
The past twelve years have been some of the best of our lives, and we will always cherish the memories and friendships made inside of the gym. While it is scary to step into the unknown, we know that good things can come from change. Just look at what happened when two young and dumb kids decided to open their own gym.
All love,
Nick and James
